About
We advance open-source and royalty-free operating systems built on modular, object based architectures integrating hardware, software, and services.
Much of today's software runs on monolithic, file-oriented operating systems designed more than fifty years ago. These operating systems proliferated because they were royalty‑free. Most personal computers ship with modern operating systems, but come with steep royalties, complex activation requirements, and restrictive licensing.
As a result, companies were forced to make a choice: depend on an outdated-by-design platform or use a prohibitively expensive one that is difficult to manage at scale.
Qtonium offers a different path: a modern, open-source, and royalty-free platform that can be easily integrated into other products or solutions.
Qtonium was founded by Carl J. Bialorucki, an official maintainer and core developer for the ReactOS project. ReactOS is an open-source Windows compatible operating system, which is modular and object based by design. Strata, our flagship product, is a distribution of ReactOS that we support with long term support packages and enterprise features. Whether you're trying to build a modern product without expensive licensing, or you need a Windows compatible environment, Qtonium has the operating system and support you need to make it happen.
